Battlefield: Bad Company - HOW laggy is the online play?!?!

Hi guys, bought the above game and the lag during online play is truly terrible - so bad its practically unplayable! Anyone else found this?

i got it saturday and tried it online for the first time yesterday and it was unplayable and not like the single player game made up for it either, bloody finished it allready

been playing this since launch. . . never had online lag (unless i have left file sharing running on my pc)

and yes single player blows . . . i have only played it online

re patch - I had to install it before I could play it for the first time so have only played it post-patch.

Single player game is ok but very samey - "go to x location and kill everything".

Never had a problem with lag online although have had a dashboard update since the last time I played it.

right tried again and it still lagging like a bed, so have done a little research and it seems its something to do with the dog tag system http://badcompany.battlefield.com/news/entryid/245... notice dated 18th of last mouth
