Considering how grey it was, you've done well

I was there! The red arrows was about the only interesting thing that happened all day. I wasn't actually expecting them to come with all the cloud cover that there was.

As above, you've done well seeing how gray it was - I didn't even bother taking my camera gear with me.

edit: Just remembered the Seafire that buzzed overhead for 5 minutes, that too was very cool, so I have to say two interesting things happened! smile

Just got mine off of the camera, first time taking photographs of aircraft, too noisey and silly focusing is the overall theme. Good fun though!

\/ This one didn't come out as hoped, but it's my favourite

I used a 70-300 Sigma DG Apo, which equates to 480mm on the camera, then a bit of cropping in photoshop for most images - it felt a bit out of it's depth...as did I

I must say I prefer the original, as although not all of the planes are shown complete, you still get an idea of a complete formation, a traditional view of the red arrows, that version just looks as though something is missing.

Heres a couple from Farnborough that i was quite pleased with. Both have been cropped and a touch of levels in Photoshop.
