E39 - built in booster seats?

Been browsing E39s, getting an idea of what to get, spec, engines (still undecided - 523/525 or diesel), and saw one with built in booster seats in the rear - some pop down thing out of the seat back.

Was this ever standard fit, or was it only ever an option? Asked my lad about it, and he loves the idea of being able to pop down his own seat in the car.

Ta, I expected that. At least I'm in no hurry to change - if I have any sense I should run the Laguna into the ground (which won't take long ...) but keep an eye out on the E39s.
