Page redirection

I did a search earlier and Firefox stopped the results from being shown because it noticed that the page with the 'searching for' and the little roundy roundy thing was trying to redirect me to another page.

(Using FF 3.0.1 on Ubuntu)

Not that it's a problem just something I thought I'd point out. Don't want to make extra work for you RP !

I seem to remember that it also does it if I vote on a poll.

I haven't had a chance to play with FF3 yet so probably a few funny things might happen with a new version release which we will look into over the next few weeks.

Just to confirm it does do the same thing if I cast a vote in a poll.

'A small man in a dark room is reading your your vote' does a page redirect which FF3 doesn't like.

As I said it's not a big problem, maybe I could tweak some settings in FF3 but RP your the internet/web tech guy I just do cars!

I've been running FF3 since Alpha 2 and have not had any problems at all.

On 3.0.1 currently and no probs with those issues above.

Running on XP Pro.

Will fire up the laptop tomorrow, which runs XP pro, and check it out.

Could be a Ubuntu problem. I have has to disable Flash because it crashes FF3 - but thats a well known issue.

As Kinky said the search works fine in FF3 on XP - not that I doubted him - I just wanted to make sure it was not a problem at my end.

So it would appear that the 'problem' is down to Ubuntu's use of FF3. Or maybe it's a general Linux problem?

I don't know if it's of interest but another site (when logging into my account on Orange) does a similar thing, I get the same notice but it disappears in about 5 seconds and the page loads.

As I said it's not a problem as such just thought you'd like to know.
