^^^^ very true!
Trek make a big deal of the Remedy being under 30lbs.
The Lapierre is seriously horny. I'm even considering leaving the Commencal brand for one
I agree on both counts.Trek make a big deal of the Remedy being under 30lbs.

Both those bikes make me go a bit tingly in the shiny bike area: I can't wait to try a Lapierre and see what all the fuss is about, and as for a Trek, being an old die hard fan, I really better stay away from them...
Anyone seen the review on the new Trek EX in MBR - fook me thats a seriously nice bike

I've got one to ride, it is indeed just 30lb.Its actually really good for a sponge bike, although not as good to climb on as its real short. On the rough stuff its simply awsome(no skill required, just as well really)Its the most confidence inspiring bike i've ridden on the real rough trails, and i have no ability off road really.

Now that looks nice and what you've said sounds good. I want something that can handle full on DH but will climb reasonably, doesn't have to be an excellent climber.

What he said! Also... there was a Lapierre demo day at Cwmcarn a few weeks ago, and I completely missed the chance to get a go on one of those new light bouncy bikes - and now I'm kicking myself! (although probably for the best.. I'm still paying off the Orange
