I need some suggestions of decent roads in South London/Surrey/Kent to try out a new application I've got on my iPhone called Dynolicious.

It's pretty nifty and using the yaw sensor in the phone it measures 0-60 times, 1/4 mile times, lateral Gs, and amazingly... horsepower!

The app's website is here - Dynolicious - Auto Performance Meter for iPhone and iPod

There are a couple of roads near me, but they're up or downhill, so I'm looking for some nice, flat, straight roads to see if this thing really works.

I've got a similar thing in a unit that sticks on the windscreen and it's surprisingly good - but don't worry too much about dead straight and dead flat. just find a dual carriageway with no-one around, stop, reset, then boot it biggrin

Try the A30 in Hampshire between Stockbridge and the A34. A bit hilly but dead straight

The iPhone has an accelerometer that detects movement, so that the screen rotates to which way the phone is facing. Its almost overkill for just tilting the screen but great fun with applications.

I just accelerated out of a layby onto a dual carriageway at a quiet time. Dynolicious seems very accurate too, getting the the bhp of my car within 2hp of the quoted figure, and that's with me guessing the driveline losses.
