i've got a 400se 1990. most of the time its perfect but when i give it some stick,it tends to cut out when i have to stop at a junction etc. it then starts first time and is no trouble when driving. when i get home and pull up on the drive it ticks over perfectly, any ideas
thanks

It used to do that when I had it too. I just used to brake with my heel & blip the throttle to keep it turning. It did it when I test drove too. Might just be a tempremental stepper. thumbup

Yep - I had the same every now and again too.
Only every now and again so I lived with it and a quick blip of the throttle every now and again when I noticed engine revs falling stopped it cutting out.

I don't know if turning up the tick over slightly would work?

check the connections to the ECU too. Sounds daft but when I still had an ECU, a loose connection would 'make' when accelerating and just moving off but become 'broken' under braking....More likely to be one of the other suggestions but worth checking anyway!
