So two months after having Lambo HW upgrade the body to LP640 styling ( after the wife blitzed the front valance - to be fair it really wasn't her fault!), last Friday me and a friend travelled to Hertfordshire to do a wedding. Sara ( the wife) travelled down with us as she knew the bride.
All was going so well as we arrived at the reception venue with the Groom and Best man in our cars. The guests loved the cars parked outside and I have to say it was an honour to take out the Grooms autistic son who LOVES fast cars. So I could hear the tears of laughter as,when leaving, I galantly attempted to negotiate a rather uneven ( well a shingle meets concrete with a 1" step) drive....... and wiped out the front valance a second bl**dy time.

.... you can just imagine the wifes sarcastic comments!!!

As I said....... sh*t, bum, boll&cks!! - now wheres Graham Shultz telephone number,Oh... and my bank managers too darling!

...and the little scuff!!

Ouch! That can be repaired, though, rather than replaced?

I'm amazed at how small the Murci looks next to the Ferrari...I thought it would be bigger.

I take it with the original front kit, it would have cleared?

Shows how 'tall' and un-supercar-like Ferraris have become since the 355. For me the 360 and F430 have too much bodywork above the wheel arches. There should be little more than a thin strip of bodywork curving over the arches, like on the 355. At least Lamborghini have stayed true to this. On modern Ferraris the rear wheels almost look lost, like they do on today's overly-tall small hatchbacks.

I doubt there are too many LP640's on the planet without some scuff marks on the front spoiler - although yours is more impressive than most! Because the front bar is carbon fibre, it isn't as easy to repair as some other materials but I agree it is fixable.

I got some skid plates for my LP from Premier Motorsport in California. They give great peace of mind when hitting dips in the road at speed. For low speed obstacles, you still need to use your front lift. wink

As pukka as the Lambo looks and at the great risk of being tortured and flamed, is kitting out a "normal" murci in a LP640 kit the supercar equivalent of a 325i in a M3 body kit?

I can understand your view point. The decision I was faced with was do I upgrade to a LP ( £120,000) or do I upgrade the Murci (£20,000) and spend a little on a 993 Turbo as a second toy!!!

Oh - and this is the job my caravan bodyshop boys done on the old gal today. Didn't even have the right paint! - temporary job tho'

Caravan Bodyshop?

Were they about to play conkers with it?!

VERY impressive looking job going by the photo biggrin

Temporary? can you tell a difference / see the repair in sunlight?

Was gutted to read about the damage - I don't revel in other's misery (well... tongue out not when it comes to nice cars! biglaugh )

To be fair my guy ( Rodders - he's a good ol' boy!) has only repaired the bit you can see. Next week he takes off the front valance to make good the underside ready for my N/ring run early Sept...... where I'll probably blitz it again!!!
