I'm delighted to report that Simon Lacey, prospective TVRCC Chairman, has taken the time personally to telephone me and explain what exactly has been going on. Everything has been settled.
It all stemmed from from lack of information: in actual fact the TVRCC wanted to contact me regarding complimentary RO membership. Unfortunately this fact was not circulated nor passed to me. Requests for a copy of the e-mail did not materialise and this made me more concerned as to its content. When one receives an e-mail describing one as 'hunted', and bearing in mind my (legitmate) views on the membership increase, conclusions were drawn and allowed to escalate. It has been interesting to see those people who sided with the individual, and those who maintained an official 'Club' line.
The way that Simon has dipped in and solved the (imaginary) dispute tells me that he would be a highly effective Chairman of action, and no doubt his Committee colleagues will follow his example. He also managed to figure out my phone number, which IMHO puts him in a class of his own! It has been refreshing to have direct contact with what will be, I have no doubt, the top man, because I was starting to feel very much at the bottom.
PH is a powerful community that moves fast and misunderstandings can rapidly escalate. I have suggested that the TVRCC Committee keeps an active presence on it, partly so that 'rumour control' can be defused with accurate information, but also that PH can be used as a direct portal to all.
So it was kinda fun being a Yugoslavian freedom fighter but I guess I'll have to demob and return to sleepy Suffolk!

Glad it has worked out ok and even though i didnt have a clue what you where rambling on about in that other Thread find it Hard to think TVRCC would have a bad to say against you with the amount of Literature you send there way
