Hamann, Hartge, tuning and resale values.

I've just got a Z4 coupe and was idly looking at tuning mods. I'm not really big into this sort of thing but was wondering how well respected Hamann and Hartge modified cars are amongst enthusiasts and BMW main dealers when it comes to resale.
I'm not talking about a set of wheels here - what about engine mods. I assume main dealers will still service them.
Has anyone on here had any major work done by one of these companies (or similar).

Unless its a fully modded Hartge / Hamann car, i cant see it adding anything to the resale value. Plus, with the price of their gear, if your wanting to get real power out it might be cheaper to change 'up' from your 3.0i to a z4m, given their resale values are down the toilet. TBH I doubt I'll do it - i'm just a new owner getting all giddy.

I think you're probably correct. I wouldn't touch a tuned BM with a bargepole and I'm sure dealers would think the same. It's not easy to eek more power from an NA car either.
