I have someone coming to look at car in 2 hours and I need to top up clutch fluid as 1st ans 2nd gear are hard to get into (suddenly).

Where does the clutch fluid go and what do I need to buy?

Thanks in advance.

Remove the oval panel on the driver wing in the engine bay to reveal the clutch master cylinder. Usually a couple of screws and a load of silicone holding it in place. Top up with dot 4.0 or 5.1 brake fluid.
The panel will need sealing when it is put back.

Worth looking under the car for fluid leaks as it is usually the slave cylinder seals that go.

thanks buddy, just done a change of fluid and bled it through, a whole lot better now, could do with dot5.1 but I will advise hopeful buyer how easy it is to change.
