How to check exact factory spec on 335i

I have just bought a Sept 2007 335i M Sport Tourer with 6 speed manual box from a non-BMW dealer and I am not 100% clear as to what spec items are optional and which are factory standard. In any case, I'd like to keep the full spec list for the car in a file for the next owner. Is there a site where I can plug in the reg or chassis number?

PS Car is amazing engineering feat. Real Q-Car. Subtle, comfortable but very quick from virtually any revs. Mine is in Sparkling Graphite with Lemon Dakota leather / alu dash. Seems to give it a modern look that is quite sporty but refined at the same time. Pictures soon.

BMW customer services will most likely now point you at their £1/min customer services line, so take a deep breath before you dial and speak fast!

(I got overtaken by a 335d yesterday. It had it's own weather front.)

Apologies if I missed the joke. It might have helped if it was funny! Is it some sort of in-joke? Have there been a few 335i vs 335d flame wars?

It just seemed a bit out of order that the OP asks a perfectly reasonable question and two people reply by saying that the car he's just bought (and sounds very happy with) isn't as quick as some other car!

You have indeed missed the joke. A chap on another thread has become a bit of a PH leg-end because of his habit of claiming that his (or, more precisely, his dad's) 335d (mapped) is, quite simply, the fastest, most sexy car on the planet. Claims of fanny-magnetism and M3-destroying speed are pretty much a given whenever he's in town.

It's a bit like the "I want to buy a large, capacious vehicle for the transport of tonnes of ste to the tip" and the PH stock answer comes back, "MX-5".

You can go to any dealership (service or parts dept) and they will be able to print you off a list of the original factory spec

Shame it will never be a 335d though.......
