Don't don't mention what car you drive...

Most Rover based TVR's have hydraulic tappets
which don't need adjustment.

Have you got a noice that is worrying you ?

Because they,ll tap. But why do you ask, Have you a suspicion if so take it to your mechanic. Should only need checking / doing at service intervals. Could be something else ?.

If they go quiet!

Sevice interval for checking is 12000 miles. Had mine checked / adjusted at the last service £250. Sounds just the same now as it did before.

Joolz says the tappet clearances only ever get tighter on Cerbies. Joolz says to beware if the tappets on early AJP8's go quiet. Mine was never quiet anyway.
