I'm thinking of getting a quick detail for the car - just to get out some of those minute scratches. I'm not looking for the best of the best, just simply looking for someone who can do a decent job for a decent price (~£100).

Thanks

Ori

Depends what you're after. Doubt you will get swirl removal for as little as £100.

Just after a simple detail, don't need paint correction or anything. The £100 is just a rough guess as to how much it'll cost - I'm happy to spend more but I want one of the cheaper options.

Ah, I see. I think you are looking for a valeter rather than a detailer then. The latter get very precious if you call them valeters.

To get rid of "minute scratches" properly you ARE looking at paint correction if the truth be told. But a simple polish, possibly containing fillers (e.g. Autoglym SRP) would do the job for a while.

Yellow pages might be a good starting point.

Hi,

The previous poster is quite right. The fine scratches WILL require paint correction. This is an all day affair at a minimum.

I would expect to pay at least £150 for correction and up to £300

Cheers,

Steve

super resin, followed by the treatment of deep show shine and high definition wax. -so doing it yourself. Otherwise to do a whole car by a prof detailer can cost from £200-500. Also depends on the car and condition its in. Shop around.

-If you visit autoglym.co.uk and find the stockist. Should put you in the direction of a detailer

Thanks for all the help - if paint correction is what it needs then I'll just have to cough up.

Looks like the muddy detail guy has stopped due to back problems
