Autotesting weekend on the Isle of Wight
Discussion
A couple of people have mentioned wanting to do some autotesting on the Growl groans thread. I suspect that organising this for the growl is not going to be possible, so I have an alternative suggestion.
I belong to a car club which organises several autotests throughout the year, including a couple of tarmac based events for visiting car clubs. There's no reason why one of these shouldn't be related to TVR next season if there's enough interest (from both parties).
Membership of the IOWCC will be required, and there is an entry fee per day. The general format of a day event is that you get six attempts to complete the course, and your best time is used to allocate points. The membership and entrance fee should be less than £50 for two days of autotesting over the weekend. All-in-all, it's cheap motorsport, and great fun.
Another option for the second day is to have a navigation scatter event (where we can all get lost) which may appeal more to some people.
Obviously, a weekend will involve a night in a hotel somewhere and probably a barbeque. All I can say is that there are plenty of good venues here.
Just to tempt you, here's a couple of pictures of me at one of the events:

Thanks to Zombeh & Kosy for the pics
So, is anyone interested?
