Still having problems with lambda 2 getting 1.8v for about 5 mins the ok on and off, swapped the connectors round and the fault goes to lambda 1 reading 1.8v, have no water in the ecu so could the problem be just the connector, also when engine off ignition on lambda 2 is still reading 0.12v labda 1 at 0 which looks like its shorting somewhere, any help would be great as i'm tearing my hair out - thanks

the evidence that the fault follows the lambda sensor when you swap over suggests it's the sensor or sensor side of the multiplug at fault .. have you tried a new one?

does not seem to be any corrosion with the lambda connection is there another connection from lambda 2 or does it go straight to the ecu, someone mentioned there may be one under the expansion tank - thanks again

What lambdas did you buy?

I found the Land Rover ones didn't do the job and had all sorts of problems.

land rover, but its not looking like the lambda as the fault stays on the same loom when i swap the leads over and its still showing a voltage with just the ignition only on when it should read 0 like the other - im totally baffled - its got to be a bad connection - err i think

The lambda wires are quite easy to follow.

Check along their length, as you may have a bare wire showing, that has got some moisture in it.

I had a wire that had what looked like some melting damage on it's length and when the weather was damp MIL used to flick on and off giving bad readings. I dried it totally with a hair dryer and then sealed the wire with black silicone.

No problems anymore.

Think it just keeps going and then gets wrapped in with the main loom through to the ECU...
