just thought I'd punch a few keys with a positive comment about the E60!There are some with 160k+ on the clock now they're getting on a bit and it will be interesting to see the highest.

Went straight through no problems at all but it has been serviced to the book at the garage i work at since about 80k so we know the car well.Apart from a couple of rack ends a balljoint & diff seals ie all wear & tear its just had the normal brakes tyres etc really an astonishing car.
I do remember the customer mentioning a turbo replacment but this was done under warranty on very little mileage and no problems since.
Done 41,000 miles on my 07 535d good as new, had a new windscreen put in it yesterday stone chips x 2 and 1 set tyres all round so far which cost a grand 
, but did get 35,000 miles out 1st set tyres which garage said was very good there waz a mercedes in same garage o7 plate thad only got 15,000 miles from his and he said he drove it nice ? i was happy to get 35,000 out mine all in all best car i,ve ever owned, speed comfort ,fuel costs, is a fantastic car, service costs 1st £250 ,2nd £350 they even clean it for you.

I think most should understand this paragraph. I have no idea about the reference to driving a Mercedes 'nice' however.

I too have always believed the E39 to be a better built car.I was offered a 1998 petrol car the other day with 230k on the clock.Looked and drove very well indeed.The highest mileage E60 Ive come accross was a 2 year old 520d with 120k on the clock.pgilc1 said:
