Not that I would ever condone such a thing () but I see from the Taunton Times that some people in my town have decided that enough is enough:

Some bloke in that article says:"People are beginning to suggest they are there to generate money and not just there as a safety issue."

Begining? What? Tell that man that we've been stating that for years!

Ever spoken to a member of these 'partnerships'? they believe they are on a mission from God and only Osama Bin Laden could be considered more of a zealot (even then at a push)

A message scrawled on the camera in Henlade's 30mph zone on the A358 tells passing motorists that the camera has been removed.

The snooper still has a fit when coming up to this scamera , and why did the stupid w*nkers lower the limit to 30 straight after a 70 dual carrage way 40 was perfectly safe , they are just after the cash KEERRRRRCHHINGG

I know it would never happen but I wonder what would happen if on one day every camera got fd? What would they do next, replace them all?

yes they would replace them imediatly, penshioners can starve, people can be mugged in their homes,150,000 lives are ended by abortions, 4500 die because hospitals are not cleaned properly each year, but cameras save lives, Tony says so. Therefore it would be a number one priority. As before these are zealots who know now reason, when speeding control is handed over to a private company probably owned by a Labour Party donor and all the police are sacked coz they are a cost then these zealots will be happy, until thye find something else to protect us from.

Somerset residents may wish to make their views known to the speed management policy review.
Usual restricted questions to prevent you criticising the policy itself; however, there is a feedback form.

About two years ago the Borough of Barnet sent round forms asking what residents thought about them introducing parking permits in residential areas. Needless to say everybody filled in forms insisting that they should have to pay to park in front of their own houses (like f**k).

Today we have parking permits. Do you think it really matters what we think?

Yes, we paid to have them put in, now we pay to have them taken out. Council Tax up 24% this year, any ideas where the money went?

Since the original article lots of people wrote to the Taunton Times in protest of speed cameras. This week, the paper printed leters of people in favour of them. Check out this numpty. He hasnt been brainwashed by the 'SPEED KILLS' campaign at all And if cameras are so good at preventing speeding, how come he still admits to doing so?

Areas around Taunton that also have stupidly low limits include the main road to Glastonbury through Durston (30mph limit) and I've just heard today that a large part of the Minehead road is now a 30 limit.
