DC for the Beeb?

Suzy caught up with DC on the grid for the Moto Gp today and there was some reference to him being on the BBC s team next year ,Did not seem to dismiss either .Anyone know any more?

I guessed that when he announced his retirement. Even posted it in a thread somewhere...

Yeah I had been hoping for that too, remember reading that he said he's still going to be working with the team after this season, in a role similar to what Schumacher is doing, fingers crossed he's in the commentary box next season though.

It did sound as if he'd be joining the Beeb. I've heard all the rumours and they've made sense, but this was the first time I've heard anything that comes close to confirming it.

As long as it means the end of James Allens career of insulting the intelligence of anyone with more than 6 brain cells and an understanding that F1 involves cars.

I'm unsure about DC being a good replacement for Martin Brundle.

To be fair to DC this made me laugh at the time and still does:

Digital F1+ about 2.15 in.

Then again I remember Perry McCarthy doing the 'expert' job on one F1 braodcast - I guess the legal fees stopped him being asked to do another one

What I am more interested in is who the BBC are going to get as the main commentator.
