BNI works well for us (IT), found FSB groups a waste of time, the only benefit we have with FSB is the legal protection re tax inspections etc.

Agree about FSB. I've gone for the BNI too.

I can't navigate that BNI website at the moment, what are the rough joining costs?

Depends on the business but we've generally found that its one sales person talking to another sales person.

Best bit of networking I ever did was when I was johnny print rep. I attended a Print Buying Seminar. Got the direct contact details of the delegates (all print buyers) and got to know a lot of them over drinks in the evening. Loads of business!!! Trouble is, the organisers have cottoned on to this and make it hard for you to attend if you're not genuine!
