Intermittent Head Light Problem

Got a problem with the head lights on my T350c.

Sometimes they come on and sometimes they dont.

Any ideas what this could be?

Is your dash acting like their are coming on?

I.e. when you turn the dial the dash lights up? or if you turn off the engine and remove the key do you get the lights on warning even if they are off?

In my experience it's always bullit connectors somewhere along the line that produce an intermittent fault like this.

Or the even bigger gremlin of bad earth!

Have found if the headlight switch is left on with the engine running the lights will come on after 30 seconds or so.....everytime.

Is this common, or have I got some sort of electrical fault somewhere?

Had a very similar issue to this, with indicator and headlights intermittently working and eventually traced the fault to a bad earth connection ... all the lights earth through one point located at the front right hand corner of the chassis. There is an upright road chassis bar which joins the lower chassis square section to the upper section, halfway up that bar you will see two relatively big earth leads attached to a chassis bolt. remove them, clean up, copper slip or vaseline and replace. Never had any other lighting problems since fixing this. Easier if you remove drivers front wheel, rather than trying to get at it from the top and be careful of your knuckles, its a pig to get at and work on.. Hope this helps
