While @ work...the drop downs from "My Info, Members, etc" open on a approx 50% of the time when returning to a page even when my mouse is no where near the headers.

While this does not stop me from selecting my next option, I have to wait until the broswer closes the drop down b4 it responds to the next instruction...while @ home I don't appear to have this problem...why ???

Also

Suggestion: Can we have more filtering options on the members search cross refernced with their cars ?

Answering your second question first, yes I will be taking another look at the cars section of the site soon.

Someone else reported a problem with the menus this week but it's a bit of a mystery. The code hasn't changed since I put it in earlier this year and is working for the vast majority of people.

I'm not saying I don't believe you (in true support desk style), just that I'm not familiar with the problem and am currently a bit stumped.

I guess then it is something inherent in the code which is OK most of the time but the browser/network setup @ work causes the problem.

Re the "cars" filtering...I meant some kind of combination of members details and their cars options.

Could you elaborate please? What particular type of filtering would you like to do?

Ted - i have a similar thing at home re: the menu drop downs.

Basically putting the pointer anywhere near the dropdowns (not neccessarily on them but close to them) at the top results in them *dropping down*. They then stay down for a good ten seconds or so, even if the pointer is moved away. I have to be really sneaky on how i use the mouse to get at the shortcuts to the gassing links underneath the dropdowns so as to avoid the drop downs activating!

This only happens at home and i thought it was just do to the fact that my computer at home is ancient and is running by clockwork! The work one is significantly faster and doesn't seem to suffer.

Anyway its just a bit of blighter but no harm done. Thought i might let you know as someone else has obviously discovered it. Unless you can turn the sensitivity of the dropdowns, down of course - say have to hover the mouse for X seconds before they work..? Isn't that a browser thing though??

Sounds like you were spot on with your analysis Buff, sounds like an ancient slow PC / Browser problem mate. Try a different browser. May cure it.
