...or is this common knowledge already?

Only I've seen a lot of comments about PH perhaps needing a spell checker in the past but the Google Toolbar does that at the click of the 'Check' button.

Installing an English dictionary to Firefox does the same thing without all the bloated extra Google analytics sending information about your surfing habits back to Google wink

Makes me laugh that Google Toolbar has an anti-spyware function... Yet that is exactly what Google Toolbar does! rofl

Or just use a Mac for a spellcheck built in to the OS... smile

Mine corrects the British spelling of a word when an American spelling is available, can you change this?

I got it working on my old mac, but remember how and it's US-biased on my new Mac. You can click on "learn spelling" each time it finds one, and it gradually does it less often as it learns new words.

Exactly the reason I've never installed it. I've always been tempted by toolbars, but never actually installed any.
