Evening all,

I have a 1993 BG-series Mazda 323 Hatchback, my driver and passenger door appear to have dropped and catch the door sill when closing meaning a good shove is needed to close them. Does anybody have any idea how I can re-align them so they close properly without hitting the sill? Many thanks in advance.

Might be that the door hinge has loosened off its mount / pin has become slack.

Nice to see you on here aswell Tom smile

cheers Adam, and you too.

How might I check whether this is the case and how might I go about fixing it?

Try lifting the door up.....Look and see if there is any play in the hinge pins..(The first place i would look)...If there is play you just need new pins....
Just knock out the old pins and drive in the new....Its nearly always not quite that simple....As,The old pins can be a swine to remove, Patience is needed...
You`ll soon spot if the pins are worn....As,The hinge centre moves from the upper and lower parts,As if the hinge has snapped....Good luck....Kev.

Take it to a local garage that you have heard good about. Mazda would charge you an arm and a leg I would imagine.

Arnolds of Camelsdale it is then, they gave the Audi it's 1st MOT in June after Basingstoke Audi screwed up. If Dad'll entrust them with that, I'm sure they're good enough. (They even give a tin of mints too!)
