Back home from Griffs Growl 2008
Discussion
After 13 days, 8 countries and 6253km (3886miles) we returned at home Sunday night. We had a great trip where the Griffs Growl were our main goal. It was very nice to see again our old friends and meet some new! For us coming from an outpost of the world the GG is really a great arrangement. The B&C, the BBQ, the vendors, the RR and all those beautiful cars and the people around them!
During our trip we burned 591 litres of super (130 GB Gallon / 156 US Gallon), that makes an average of 9,5 litres/100 km or 29,9 miles/GB Gallon. I’m impressed with this figures from a 6.0 liter V8, cranking out 408hp at the RR! No oil was consumed, she’s still at the max marking, but ½ litre of coolant was filled after the RR.
The motorways in France are IMHO far superior to the Germans. Much less traffic made higher average speeds possible in a much more relaxed manner. One of the days we did 5 Alp-passes in the Andermatt area in Switzerland. What a beautiful area to drive an open sportscar! Best from Gry and Per!

Hi Per - Helene & I were sorry not to say goodbye - I think you had gone into Stratford when we had to leave. Never mind, was great to see you both in that monster and next time you come IT WILL BE HOT and SUNNY!!!!
Helene always enjoys meeting up with you both so she can talk in her native tongue to some fellow Norwegians - there are so few of you around!
see you soon we hope - well done for such an epic tour of Europe.
Good luck in the Olympics

Went to pick up Gry when you lunched, and then you were gone when we arrived back. Go with Helene to Oslo and make us a visit then?!
Best Per
