Present for Daughter

[meagain]

My Daughter is off to Las Vegas and San Francisco for a holiday, I want to buy her a compact camera to take, Something small but good quality, with reasonable resolution, 6mp minimum. Any one any ideas? Budget of around £100 - £150.

I've had several Ixuses over the years, I'd happily recommend them. Seemingly bulletproof, pocketable, decent size piccies, ability to manually turn the flash on, good metering.

I did type "Ixi". Twice.

Then thought it looks like it belongs on the back of a slammed Ford XR3 wiv wheels. I settled for Ixuses.

Yup - fully agree with this - I've a 960is now and it has taken some lovely pics.

Another vote for a Canon Ixus. I've had a 45, 50, 55, 750IS and now an 860IS. All been really good .
