A sense of achievement. "I did that". It can come in any area of life, but for me, happiness is through achieving goals/aims.

Saw a message on the roof beam of a pub (where all my great inspiration comes from!) last weekend:

"Poor and content is rich enough."

I reckon that's pretty much spot on.

The next day I saw a millionairre fly into a racetrack in his helicopter to watch the race series he owns and I nearly shot myself.

Still, that line gets me through the odd rough period. biggrin

if you are being philosophical, what is true happiness?

Also to properly understand happiness you must have experienced sadness, something many people try to forget, but you can't really have one without the other.

True happiness has nothing to do with material possessions i believe, don't get me wrong i love owning a quality product and having a comfortable amount of £ about me, but that isn't happiness.
Happiness is realising your true passions in life and pursuing them, to be proud of yourself no matter what other people may think of you.

You are given one life to do with it what you want, and it's that, that you must do.

I wish i could listen to my own advice..

Great sex combined with true love.
Offspring - something so beautiful coming from two 'ordinary' people!
Enough money to get by each month
Laughing alot; those side-splitting laughs.
Having principles and sticking to them, whatever others would have you believe.
No ironing left to do.

Keeping things simple and not thinking too much.
Too many people worry too much about too many things. Just relax and stop taking everything so seriously, it might not make you happy exactly, but it certainly helps.

(For instance, I have yet to meet a happy or relaxed Daily Mail reader.. case closed) smokin
