Alnmouth ~ Lovely little bay with nice beach and a good few B and B's and hotels. Google for details.
Alnwick is near by, and the castle and Gardens are worth a visit.
Bamborough ~ good cattle, clean and quiet beaches : near to Seahouses for fish and chips and a boat ride out to the Farne Islands to see seals and birdlife. (take a hat).
Holy Island : quiet and remote. Very picturesque.
Corbridge ( near to Hexham) Handy for popping into 'HHC' for spare parts, and dropping a deposit on a new TVR (or Lotus). Good pubs and a selection of shops / Tea shops. Sits on the river if you fancy a stroll and a plodge. Also a good base to explore the depths f Northumberland ( castles etc)
That should keep you busy for a week or so......

That's Dunstanburgh isn't it? Lovely place and a great walk all the way from Craster to Newton with the castle right in the middle.Would also recommend a boat trip out to the Farne Islands if you get the chance. The 1.5 hour ones are more than long enough.
