How Much Would You Want?
Discussion
Obviously everyone would like to become wealthy and enjoy life, but just how much would you want until you realise that you are just being greedy. For example 2-3 supercars a big house in the country and a holiday home somewhere in the world and enough money to live comfortable for life.
But if you could would you take it to the next step and buy a mega boat, or realise that other people need it more than you and decide to start giving to them?

All I want is a 3 bedroomish sized house, in the middle of nowhere but 10 miles away from a reasonable town, a dog and enough money to live a comfortable life (not luxary, just comfortable and never having to worry about bills or expenses).
I also want to be able to run a reasonable car, a reasonable bike and just have everything so I have on responsibility.
Anything else, for me anyway, would be greedy, but I never have been one for a celebrity lifestyle...

I am starting to hate money...
I seem to see so much of it but never get to keep any of it. I have dreams of buying a gun and an axe and some string, maybe a box of matches, and dissapearing into the jungle...
Perhaps a tent, one of those outside toilets, an inflatable pool.
can you get Sky Tv in the jungle? Broadband? Can i pay for it with snake skins?

I recall a lecturer in my first year at university saying that we are materially several times better off than we were in the 1950s but half as happy. He attributed this to the hedonic treadmill. Basically, ever increasing wants. Everything is relative too, it's good to succeed in life but for me earning a lot of money would be a welcome by-product of my hard work.
I'm quite ambitious but feel that perspective is important. As has already been alluded to in this thread, health and family are far more important than 'things' will ever be.
