Dont know the car but its obviously being sold by someone who knows nothing about them

"........Low miles for the year"
"........rare V8 model"

I'd be very wary of it - it will be cheap for a reason.

Screams "warning" to me!!! Trader selling so we assume a trade in, selling for £8500 so what do we reckon he gave for it £6.5k or maybe £7 tops? .. now have to ask why someone was willing to knock in a Cerb for £6.5k to a dealer unless they knew it had issues so didn't want to flog it privately (and then have someone come back knocking on their door 2 weeks later).

That's all supposition of course, but cheap Cerbs do and should ring alarm bells as Alan said - not worth ruling out but it will want one hell of an inspection.

In all fairness, buying from a trader is safer than a private sale. I know this being an ex car dealer of 9 years. If its sold not fit for the purpose ( doesnt get you home, or breaks in the near future ) you can chuck it back at him and TELL him to fix it or money back. Whereas if you buy private and the camchain snaps under the weight of the money in his hands "tough".

Tis true yes you do get some backup in law over a private sale and it's not to be sniffed at - I'm certainly not saying it's better to buy private per se, but if someone has let the car go cheap enough for the dealer to make a markup on that price, then you have to wonder why. Better to avoid putting yourself in a situation where you are chasing a trader for your money back by putting some serious due diligence into the cars condition and history first.
