IDLING TOO HIGH?

New rad in, belts changed and some fresh coolant, Sasha is back to life.

Although its idling just over 1000rpm once its settled down. On start up its over 2000rpm. Surely this cant be right?

Anyone got any ideas?

How long does it idle at 2,000 before it drops down?

Suggest it's probably worthwhile resetting the base idle.

Around 20 seconds...

It sounds awful, infact embarrasing, and its even worse with the A/C on.

How do I go about resetting the idle?

Make sure the throttle isn't sticking open. Check that it goes back to the stop (you should hear it hitting the stop if you turn the throttle by hand). If not, check the cable tension.

Set the idle as per the link, worked a treat.
