715bhp B&B RS6

The fastest bed and breakfast in town...

You remember the MTM RS6 which appeared a couple of weeks ago, a 700bhp estate that quite frankly has an insane amount of power. Well, it seems to have sparked some kind of power struggle among the German tuners and next to swagger up to the oche is B&B, a company that spent the eighties chopping up Porsche 928s not offering holiday accomodation.

700bhp? P'ah! B&B has squeezed 715bhp out of the RS6's twin-turbo V10 just by adding a new intake, catalyst, exhaust and cooling system, as well as tweaking the ECU. B&B has thankfully added adjustable suspension and new springs that drop the ride by 25mm.

The result is an estate that can hit 60mph in 3.6 seconds, which puts it squarely in supercar territory. The question is: Will the golden retriever want to be there?

I wonder if there has ever been a story about a fast estate that didn't make a reference to the dogs in the back?

I want one so much, the thought of that much power in an estate is just hilarious!
Would have to be fully de-badged probably in silver so it looked totally subtle, then boy racers beware!

That is, if those boy racers don't have ears... or get a tinge of scepticism seeing those twin pipes.

Knowing boy racers, they would probably try anyway, thinking their de-cated and lowered Saxos would easily outhandle a big RS-Audi.

You would eat most Evos for breakfast, and that in itself is an achievement.

Even eat a 335d(mapped) from a rolling start!

Where do I sign ?

Funnily enough i have a 200bhp Saxo VTS race car that im sure could destroy an RS6 through the bends...! Would be an interesting run though..

All in all i would still take an RS6 Avant - has to be Sprint Blue - Garish as you like - making sure everyone knows that you got a car that will piss on their Lambo/porsche/M3 AND the lil Fiesta boys at the traffic lights!

Ive never fancied one of this silly estates before, but this is looking fun. I wonder if its availble with standard audi wheels and no body kit, hidden exhausts etc so it looks like the base model?

Wouldn't it just be easier to shoehorn the Veyron engine in there?

715 horses in an estate... mmh, that is more than double the original BeeM M5 Touring which can be a bit of a handful if you're not careful but then again it has no driver aids whatsoever.

I wonder how much of the 715 bhp can be put to the road realistically, the driving aids must limit the ECU throughout a whole chunk of the rev range.

What a crazy world of conflicting messages we live in, bigger and bigger horsepower cars keep on coming whilst more and more speed detection systems and surveillance are developed and deployed...

A lot of cars will 'out-handle' a big Audi, even an RS. What they probably won't do is out-grip it.

There's a difference. Lotuses handle. Hot-hatches (well, most of them) handle. M-cars handle. Big Audis just use huge levels of mechanical grip and a quick-ish steering rack to give the impression they handle.

That said, this will be an awesome weapon for getting point-to-point as quickly and comfortably as possible, if that's your bag...
