Any help greatfully received.

Rigt now I would like one that envolves shotguns and large spikes but I realise this may not be quite legal

X10 or insteon are inexpensive options.
Same stuff that operates garage doors.

Options include signal sent when door is opened, or motion sensors inside or out.
The signal can be used to operate anything electrical from a simple siren to an anti personel mine.

I've got a Yale wireless system(and so have all 4 neighbours now!!) and it's spot on, covers the garage about 10m away with ease through two brick walls. You can add PIR's, door sensors, smoke alarms etc to it too.

£2000 worth of tools, in a shed?

You must be crazy (they will also be back)

We have had one of those shotgun cartridge holders that fire on a trip wire. Cheap as chips, nothing better.

Sheds are like neon signs to thieves, there's nothing you can do other than not keep valuable things in there.

Well where else do you keep them then ?????

Lawnmower
Chain Saw
Hedge trimmer X2

= £2000

At least they left the lawn tractor !!! About to be boltetd into the concreet floor !!!!

I am liking the idea of trip wire where do you buy them ? even if it just fires the pelets into the ground or is a blank would give them the scare of their lives.

I guess if I had the need for such expensive tools, they'd be in a garge (all those things I have come in at less than £100 :P )

Sadly those trip wire things are illegal (because they fire both blanks and live rounds) but I'm sure you can find instructions on how to build them yourself online (they're just a tube with a spring loaded pin.

I have slightly more than £2k's worth in my shed

I have an awesome burglar alarm - a psychotic, bite trained German Shepherd. He will let visitors in the front door, but come in 'his' back garden without me being there at your own peril hehe

Well I need to find a soloution as I have lived in my place for 4 years and its a bit remote but not that bad.

For the first time this evening coming home in the dark I have to say I was a little concerned. Even with security lights etc etc I have a five bar gate that I have get out of the car to open to get in the drive, as much as I dont want them I can see electric gates being a good soloution.

The dog sounds like a great idea but i have two cats and work ridiculous hours sometimes which would be unfair on it.

In the mean time I am taking up target shooting in my back garden ,aybe some targets with the middles blated out of them might put them off a bit
