Just visited Asda and they are selling a 3 man dome tent for £9.97!yikes(Reduced from £18.84)

Cheap and cheerful tent that could even be left behind for the 'locals' wink
You will have to be quick though as I saw lots of people in the shop with them.

Rain, it never rains at Le Mans...does it? laugh

Some of my 'crew' had similar tents lasts year and found them very effective in keeping the wet stuff out (beer included). They even had a certain resistances to 'firework fallout' biggrin

Last week it was raining so hard at Le Mans whilst my wife and I were trying to take down our tent. The thing had become so water-logged in the act of taking it down that after 3 attempts to fold it up that we decided that we'd give it one more attempt before abandoning a tent worth over £600! Seriously! Absolutely torrential rain for hour after hour after hour....

One thing I've learnt now about that part of France having been there in June, July and now as late in the summer as August is that the weather is completely unpredictable and unreliable!

I paid £32.00 for a 2 man pop-up tent for this years lemans.
Just take it out of the bag, throw it up in the air and bobs your uncle!!
Well chuffed. I wouldn't have liked to try and get it back in the bag though!
I just left it for the local gyppo's.

Wrote the cost off as part of the holiday. The memories I have of Lemans, every time I've been, are worth much more than it has ever cost me money wise! smile

Makes me smile. Our £10 tent went back in the bag inside 30mins thanks to the g/f being rather skilled at it!
