Tell them to ask for a flight at the airport. It is what airports do: sell tickets.

Tell them to catch a train to a different airport, or accept that under the circs they won't be coming back tomorrow.

is it really that important anyway? Serious question, not trying to wind you up.

1. Find out what carriers operate from Madrid (airport website?).
2. Start ringing round their booking lines.

Actually I think it is the only international airport at Madrid. Bounbd to be others but not international. They do keep saying 'main' airport on the news suggesting that there are others however.

Bloody big airport with loads of runways, no reason for it to be closed by this disaster.

Easyjet fly from "Madrid"

But whether that's the Madrid aiport in question is another matter entirely.

Tell them that they've got a guest slot on Top Gear, and that they can go and borrow two Bugatti Veyrons to drive home in?
