It's the Labour Election machine swinging into action.

ETA: Damn - there's too many plurals in the title.

"Look, what the people of Britain are concerned about is what is happening to their gas and electricity bills, what is happening to the oil price and the petrol price at the pumps. These are the issues that they want us to deal with. You will see us dealing with some of these issues as we come back in September."

Cheeky bd. If he's so keen to sort these problems, why not deal with them now?

Apparently the odds of an autumn general election are shortening considerably due to the Olympics feel good factor!

How long is an election campaign?

Less then 42 days?

He will just stick all the opposition MPs in jail so he can win the next election

Yes, and 97% of the Electorate will vote for Labour with a 98% turnout.

In fact, Labour are so popular, it'll break Snow's swing-o-meter.

because it would make him look as if he gives a to$$ about the country, who cares really he is in cloud cuckoo land, no one will vote for them, well if they had any sense,i might if they knock 70p off the price of a litre of petrol, and then give the keys to 10 downing street to dc, or me, i would have a punt.

A well orchestrated campaign showing the money spent (wasted) on getting a handful of medals at the Olympics will add more nails to the coffin.

Athletics brings f.all in terms of wealth to this country, it's so well followed that we have fat families with parents so fat in their wheelchairs being pushed around by obese children, while grandparents ride around on those poxy shop-mobility scooters because they're too fat to walk.

The money wasted on training the "voluteers" that enter the Olympics could have been spent in training these fat bds to be normal, and not a burden on the Health Service, or Social Services, and thus the tax payer in general.

So, feel good factor from the Olympics? Not in this house matey!

I could be running a top flight F1 team for less money than the Lottery blew on our athletes, and be employing between 3-500 people directly, plus many more through suppliers, and generating much more benefit to the UK economy, as well as having a bloody good beano every few weeks.

It's great to know that despite oil prices lowering, a mini war going on over in the East, a proper one going on in the Far East, the company who did the exam marking being sacked, that good old Gordon was no-where in sight through the lot of it.

Leader, my arse

I believe the Labour party are stone dead skint though aren't they?

How can they run any election campaign without money?

Why let them occur in the first place?!!

Has he forgotten about the VEL fiasco and what it has done to the values of millions of cars??
I am sure this has and will cost many people far more dearly than their gas and electicity bills!

Oh god... didn't he visit the Saudis not so long ago to beg them to save his skin, I mean increase production?

(the Saudis, to their eternal credit, didn't publically humiliate him by pointing out production isn't the issue, it's the very taxation he created back home which is the problem.)
