I have a 99 speed six, aparently one of the first 20 made, now has new engine and chassis though. Its also had new clutch fitted, and has the hyratrack rear diff.

When i accelerate, say in 5th from 50-75mph, i get a grating kind of noise throught the gear knob, after 75 it goes away and before 50 its not there(varies with different RPM and speed in different gears), does anyone else have this or should i get it checked?

Also when im slowing down from say 70mph i get a whining/werring noise, seems to be from the diff and a very slight vibration through the car, any ideas? or should this also be checked out.

Also get a bit of noise when braking firmly but not hard, no vibration though.

This is my first TVR and never been out in one so dont know if these are normal noises or not as its a pretty rough and ready car compared to what im used to.

Best to get it checked out. Find your nearest TVR specialist and get them to investigate. Better to spend a few £££ now than £0000 later.
