16 inch R888 fitted on tuscan.....larger dia. advice /help

having a great time with the old race car....trying to get her out on 27th trackday and also race on 9th sept and oct tvr race..BUT
Fitted a new set of 245/45/16 toyo r888 today (need to run b1 tyres for sr/gt race) which appeared to be the only size available for the old 9 inch oz wheels ..but the OD is 1 inch bigger so the car sits 1/2 inch higher without a lot of work on set up eg lowering 1/2 inch anyone got any ideas about the effect of this re: tuscans.
i will keep looking for a smaller od 16 but i may have to just try her out....watch out through island as i will be doing 180 !! after i have spent 1/2 the race catching up !
18 inch may be the best route but i really wanted to stay with 16. i guess there is a fair bit of work apart from rear uprights to fit 18s...what size do you run in 18 guys?

new motordrive fia seat fitted made to measure
renewed oil/fluids
repaired headlight
new lifeline elec.4l extinguisher
fitted amb mount
new oil catch tank fitted
toyo tyres fitted
new sabelt 6 point harness fitted
column mounts modified
discs/pads
new jp stainless exhaust system made/fitted by them
about 3,200 so far ....and i thought it was a reasonably priced car

18" Slicks are 250/640/18, wets 235/640/R18.

If you fit tyres with a bigger diameter, even with the 16" wheels, be very careful of the inner wheel arches. A bit of rubbing is not unusual, but anything more significant could cause a blow out.

Dunlop do SP9000 in 225/40/16 these will fit a Tuscan wheel.

Alan, i have a spare set of 18" Challenge rims fitted with 265x40x18 Dunlop DZ02G - treaded, in a similar vein to the R888.
If you make it out an 27th , let me know and i'll bring them over for you, to try for size for a few laps.

They're not for sale though, so i'd appreciate it if you dont annihilate them all day

many thanks guys sorry late replying..being working on the car until now
to make the 27th i will have to use the 245/45 toyos which are an inch bigger od....in the garage they look as though they will clear but i will drive it down the road and check.
i have ordered a set of 225/45/16 also but i think i would prefer the right fit on the rim and suffer 1/2 inch raised height.
its a great excuse for being slower also
would love it if you could bring 18s to oulton so i can see how much of the arch etc has to be modified but i dont think i can run the car with them on without changing uprights etc.
do you know the o/diameter of the dunlops in 225/16...also i tried 225 avons and they really only fit up to 8.5 rim and same goes for toyos.....suppose i could start the stretched look in the challenge
