SUV type subaru spotted

was holidaying around Aviemore last week and spotted an oddball quite nice looking 4x4 SUV (hate the word) thing, getting closer, surprised to see it Subaru badged, not a new impreza, much taller, had the scoop in the bonnet and looked about X5 size, good looking for a vehicle of this ilk...

... my wife really wants to know, so i can say, No your not getting one...

hate to answer my own question.. but i think it was a tribeca, never knew they existed...

Although to be fair the new one is a lot better then the old

Going by size i am saying Tribeca.. but. It had bonnet scoop, flared arches, big wheels sat low and such like. In danger of being flamed, as i know the subaru styling has had a hammering lately but it did look good, considerably more appealing than the marketing shots on the subaru website. Was curious if there is a WRX/STi/ make it pretty edition...

Actually, Tribeca has no scoop, so I reckon it must have been a Forester STi you saw.
