My girlfriend has just started working for one of my clients, although none of the senior management there currently know that she is my girlfriend. My mobile range a few moments ago and her highly aesthetically pleasing profile pic flashed up. So i answered with a cheery "Hello Babe", only to be met with stunned silence. It was the Managing Director. We had a fairly awkward phone call in which I half listened to what he was saying and half wondered whether trying to explain would make things worse or not...

So the MD is effectively your gf's new boss? Why was he calling you from her phone?

Not her phone - she's put her office number into my phone book!

Easiest way out of that just say your phone is on the blink and it looked like home was calling... Worth a go (as i have seen this happen in the past), but that wont help the initial embarrassment you've just experienced i am afraid! biggrin

I suspect that the incoming call from her came through an exchange - the exchange number is the one that somes through to you so that's the one you saved.

Damned funny though smile

Right...

You were expecting a call from your girlfriends new flat (or her mums, someone who might not be in your phone book).

So you got a local number flash up on the phone, expected it to be her, but it wasnt. It was the client.

Problem is, he thinks you fancie him now. I'd sleep with him, just to satisfy any curiosity he may have about the "hey babe".
