It took me just over 7 hours to change a brake servo.
Best advice I can come up with is learn to be very flexible!

Remove everything from the pedal box you can so that it's as small as possible.

Slacken the steering column so that it can be moved a little. There is no need to remove it completely.

I found it easiest to disconnect the brake and clutch hoses from the box thing where they go through the bulkhead.

I beat 7hrs but it is an absolute sod of a job.

First advice is make sure you absolutely totally have too, and then consider what else you might want to check and change while you're there.

Second is that a second pair of hands would have reduced my time even further, so get someone !

Thirdly, silicone all the bolts well on their return.

Fourth, make sure you check on all cable routes before removal to get them back in the right place when re-fitting.

Fifth, get a wsecond pair of hands.

Sixth, what Dave said above.

Johno, second and fifth are the same. Does this mean you missed 'sixth' - as in, see 2 and 5?

It's a terrible thing when two can't count, lol.

Whilst trying to reinforce the fact the a second pair of hands are essential for a quicker job.

I've no excuse when counting. I'm colour blind. What's worse is it's reds and greens. But hey, black's still the fastest colour according to NASA.
