Hello
Just wondering:

Where have the CLK 55 AMG Coupes with four pipe exhausts gone? It looks like how the current CLK 63 AMG exhausts are set up. I remember seeing an 04 model a year ago with them but today I have seen another 04 model with only two pipes. I was told that post 53 reg models should have them. They seem to have them in the US. Also it seems that 05/06/07 reg models are non-existent, then the 07 onwards CLK 63 AMG can be found on autotrader, pistonheads, etc... Can someone fill me in?

(Yes I do prefer four exhaust pipes lol)

Yep - I think it was August 04 that the CLK 55 was revised with amg rear brakes rather than the ugly cast iron ones and a four pipe exhaust. I don't see many about though.

The 05 convertible I used to own just had twin pipes.

Yup, as others have said, the 4 pipes came in when the C209 series was facelifted. (Also distigished by a slightly different grill and interior updates.)
As mentioned, AMG did not give the cabrio a quad setup, but I know the tuners did (I've see a Carlsson modifed 55 cabrio with quad exhausts).

For some reason, not many of the 55 Coupes appeared to be sold....I can only guess customers were waiting for the 63 AMG, which was just around the corner scratchchin

Wow thanks everyone

I actually found ONE CLK55 AMG with four exhaust pipes lol JUST ONE
It's on autotrader and it's an 06 reg

I like the 63 as well but maybe it's a bit more thirsty even though it is 100+ more bhp.
