Oil Warning Light - A3

The oil warning light came on last night on my A3 (2005 2ltr Tdi). When I got home, i waited for the car to cool down then i topped the oil up, checked the level on the dipstick and it all looked to be fine.

However the warning light wont go off - could there be something else wrong or do i need to re-set the switch? If so - how do i do that?

Are we talking oil pressure or oil level?

oil level - but dont worry its gone off now - just stayed on for 24 hours past when i filled it up - very strange!
