When did the "messages" bit in the Classifieds appear?
Discussion
I just went to delete one of the adverts as we've finally sold the car, only to find that little envelope icon and a message from some chap a month ago!!!
I thought all of the messages came through to your linked e-mail account?
Also, what's with this 'expired' business - it looks like both my adverts were withdrawn from the classifieds after 30 days, yet there's always been adverts up there longer than this?
Help???

There has always been a replies section in the classifeds, it is just a little bit more prominent now. All the messages still go to your email account but are also stored in your manage my ads section incase you can't get to your emails or any problems occur (wrong email address, junk mail filters, etc)I thought all of the messages came through to your linked e-mail account?

As part of the new classifed system we have changed the maximum age for adverts from 60 days to 30. They will then stay in your advert management center for another 30 days in case you want to relist it before being moved to our archive for long term storage.Help???

I don't want to relist the S2000 right now as we're off on hols soon - no point - but I will when we get back. Should I copy-and-paste the text into a word doc at home to save it, or is there another way of preserving it for a bit longer?

At the moment we don't have this in place, but we will look at adding it in the future. In the meantime a workaround is to create a new advert and copy the details to it and then save it for later. We don't archive any of the save for later adverts so they can stay for as long as you like.
Hope that helps

Cheers Pete, Will!
...but do you think you could extend the 30 days for the 'undesirable' stuff like S2000's - no b'gger is buying them at the moment except at bargain-basement prices!
I've got £20.83 in my pocket. Will throw in a packet of Polos to sweeten the deal if it helps... ...but do you think you could extend the 30 days for the 'undesirable' stuff like S2000's - no b'gger is buying them at the moment except at bargain-basement prices!

What flavour? Could be a deal-breaker!

(You're not far wrong though - by my reckoning around £2k extra seems to have been knocked off every S2000 in the last 6 months. That's a big dent in my 'NSX account'...

Band-G road tax
25-30mpg depending on use
Cheaper to service than the competition
...so a mixed bag, but they were already a bargain vs the Z4 and Boxster (and the Elise). Don't understand it...
