Gallardo Model Year Changes //

Hi!

Close to jumping into an '06 Gallardo... wondered if you could help me with a query

1. Were there any changes between MY06 and model years 07/08?

2. How difficult is it to swap the rear lens for the darker versions

3. Likewise, the orange side indicators for clear lens versions (as seen on the Nera edition)?

Can't recall any significant changes from 06 to 07 model years. My coupe was an 06 model year and my spyder was an 07 and the egear software was definately better in the 07 car though there was no "official" upgrade I was told. I think these things are continuously worked on by the factory. I don't think there were many new options either though stand to be corrected if someone knows better. Amongst the new options were factory fitted clear indicator lenses and Cordellia wheels (the type fitted to most of the LP560 press photo cars). I don't think I've seen an 07 fitted with the Cordellia's though.

The front side indicators can be changed but are a bit of a pig to do apparently as you need to remove the front wheels and plastic arch liners to gain access to them. There is a thread in the sportscar section on Rennteam that is probably from around 2006 where a guy posted pics of the process if you do a search. Probably something similar on lambopower or one of the other Lambo forums.
