If you're not selling as a commercial venture it then I'm 99.9% certain that you can do whatever the hell you like biggrin

I can't help thinking that if I was going to go to THAT much trouble to make a car, I'd want something that virtually doesnt exist (I know, I know, 20 cars do indeed barely exist!) but I'm thinking more along the lines of...

...I think I'd start with an Elise! biglaughwink

I think it's pretty impressive... but, if I were going to go to all of that trouble I'd build my own chassis too so the car could be proportionately perfect.

I think that is incredible. The guy is obviously very talented. But, like any replica no matter how good, it will still never be the real thing. With his talents I reckon he'd have been better building something completely original. He could have drawn what he wanted and then built it. Then he would have had a truly individual car that is not pretending to be anything else, and would be admired for what it is, rather than what it looks like.

Agree about the talent: if nothing else, being able to fit the shape onto the 'wrong' chassis and make it look halfway good (presumably) just from photos would make an excellent calling-card if you were looking for a job in bodywork or coachbuilding.

Hey, that is some serious craftsmanship, hats off to him. Its just a shame he has not gone all the way with the chassis as well, but maybe he is just a metalman rather than a engineer.
