Do you know what G50 box? If G50 03 then you you should get 172mph @7000 rpm (you might need all of Brunters 1.6 miles though)WHAT TOP END SPEED COULD I EXPECT TO GET OUT OF MY GTR WHICH IS RUNNING A G50 BOX 5 SPEED AND ABOUT 400 BHP FORD 302,ALSO 0~60 MPH HOW MANY SEC'S? . Oh and the engine must be running and a suitable gear selected. and now you have cleaned the side windows your passenger can admire the blurred countryside, or better still ask them to check the second hand on there watch as you PLANT IT

I guess the setup might vary, tire size, tread depth etc, but with a G50/50 03 I get exactly 28 mph per 1000 rpm in fifth. My max is 6k so thats 168 mph, I would suggest 7k rpm would give you 196 mph ? Mine is a 355hp HO ZZ4.
I get a 12.1 sec qtr mile.
I will be at the wings and wheels day on the runway tomorrow so, weather permitting we will see if I hit the limiter or not!

A 12.1 sec qtr with less than 400bhp/tonne is very impressive! Whats your 1/4 mile vmax? I'll be keeping an eye out for you. My car is on display in one of the club areas.
How did you get on the runway anyway? The guy who has set this up for us knows the facilities mgr for Dunsfold (read - he seems to get lots of studio tickets for TG) No mention of getting to show off on the runway though.

Sorry, finger trouble 12.4 secs! I was trying to find my drag strip slips - last time was at Shakespeare... but never done Vmax, The spyders are a bit lighter than the gtrs/sports which helps with the 1/4mile times. How did you get on the runway anyway? Had a good couple of runs today at Dunsfold - with Pete, (Luckyp) great fun. Bit wet to start with but in the afternoon sun was out and a very dry runway. Good event. If you want to be there next year just write into Brooklands (who run the runway bit).
