I guess it didn't have a buzzer for "loose wheel nuts" fitted, as yank cars seem to have a buzzer for just about every other thing.

Quite often these guys drive to events and swap wheels over to their bald tyred drift ones. I reckon all the studs are still on he just forgot to put the nuts on...

on further inquiry, it seems said nuffer had put the wrong pitch nuts on!

I was going to say either that or his aftermarket wheels meant he had insufficient thread engaged.

It sounds like he was sold the wrong lugnuts. They would torque down, but upon the lateral load they jumped threads, and well, caused the damage to the rims, studs, rotors, undercarriage, ... so who is to blame?
