Discovered this morning that there is a very smal split in the main fuel line by the injector rail. The rest of the pipes also look past their best! So I want to replace all the pipes in the engine bay. Is there a fuel pipe kit that can be bought? and is it a fairly easy job?

Try TVR Power. They may have something.

I took my old fuel lines to my local hose shop and they made some new ones while I waited.

Pirtek have a fairly good hose that will do the job.

Take your old hoses in and they'll remake them.

Just buy some hose and cut it to suit.

Only trouble is the fuel hose then disappears down the bulkhead and along the transmission tunnel, you need to remove the gearbox to get to the rest of it to replace it, or so I have been told?

My car is an early 4.2 though, might be different on the later cars?

I have braided all the way back to the bulkhead coupled to the old hose, which is not an ideal situation.

Andy at APM replaced all my fuel hoses earlier this year and he didn't take the gearbox out!

TVRFix.com in Epsom (about 10 minutes from the Tolworth junction of the A3, in fact) should be able to sort you out at a good price.

Just make sure you get proper petrol hose. The OE TVR stuff wasn't, hence why we're now having problems.

97 on cars have metal pipes up to the coolant header tank, the hose from then on.

I think yours is a later car and a 4.5 which I think has the fule lines running inside the car and out through the bulkhead which would make access a lot easier.

Pirtec will make you up hoses, but you'll need to get the old ones off first to make sure you have the right lengths and fittings. It's not difficult per say, but it's not something you want to get wrong either!
