Want a date, best way to do it?

So I finally bit the bullet and now I'm single.

I could really do with a date for a couple of social events I have coming up so, in a pinch, what do we think is the quickest way to get a decent date?

Internet personals
Try to pick someone up in a bar
Pay for a professional
Call ex flames

Any other suggestions gratefully received.

Worst she can say is no and if she does it either because you are butt ugly, smell of wee, or she's so up herself she's not worth worrying about

Sadly, I have found out the hard way.

Although to be fair why would they be internet dating if they werent single? Unless out of spite. From what i have learnt it should be "Internet dating girls: attractive, mentally stable, doesnt have kids. Pick any two."
